Pharmacists, we need you! Please help us make chronic pain visible.
Chronic pain affects 3.6 million Australians, and many consumers tell us that pharmacists play a vital role in the lives of people with chronic pain as they are often the first trusted health professional they turn to for advice about their medicines, pain management options and support.
On Friday 19 September, Painaustralia invites pharmacies across the country to take part in Wear it Red for Pain – a national awareness initiative to help break down stigma, encourage people to speak up about their pain, and connect them to support.
Wear it Red for Pain is your chance to help raise awareness, break down that stigma, and encourage conversations that can make a real difference.
We’ve created a range of digital resources to make it easy for your pharmacy to get involved:
- Posters – to display in-store and spark conversations with consumers.
- Factsheets – providing guidance on support services and encouraging consumers to speak to their pharmacist.
- Logos – to add to your red shirt, badge, or top if you would like to.
How you can take part:
- Download the resources below.
- Wear red or dress up your pharmacy in red with balloons or streamers on 19 September.
- Display posters and factsheets for your consumers.
- Share your photos with us at admin@painaustralia.org.au – we’ll feature them on our social media and website to celebrate your support.
Thank you for taking part in Wear it Red for Pain and supporting Australians living with chronic pain. Together, we can help more consumers feel seen, heard, and supported.
