Let's Make Pain Visible
Chronic pain is often invisible. Many Australians struggle to be heard or to find support and are often stigmatised. At Painaustralia, we know that visibility can be a step toward change.
On Friday 19 September 2025 Wear it Red for Pain – a national initiative to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and show that no one has to face pain alone. Pharmacies across the country will be taking part by wearing red, displaying posters, and helping make pain visible in their communities.
Hear real stories from people living with chronic pain through our videos and advice from our Consumer Advisory Group. Their voices help others feel seen and understood.
Get involved:
- Look out for a pharmacy that is dressed up in red or displaying our resources – it can be an opportunity to start a conversation with the pharmacist about your pain.
- Share your story at admin@painaustralia.org.au
- Support someone living with chronic pain by raising awareness
Together, we can make pain visible, break down stigma, and create a community where everyone living with chronic pain feels seen, heard, and supported.
