PharmAus 2019

Painaustralia was pleased to be able to participate in PharmAus 2019, an annual stakeholder event hosted by Medicines Australia.

Resonant themes for the day included the achievement of securing a review of the national medicines policy, what the policy will look like, timelines, and what we hope to achieve. Professor Frank Lichtenberg outlined findings from his report on the impact of pharmaceutical innovation on mortality, cancer and hospital utilisation.
 
Above all, it was reinforced that patient centric healthcare should underpin the work of the industry. This theme was reflected in virtually every session of the event and even more so during the Innovative Medicines Showcase and HCO Leaders Breakfast.
